As you stand facing the painting, you are immediately drawn to the intense colours and the oversized yet simplified flowers in the vase. The gray vase with its pattern draws your attention as well, but it is the pink peonies and yellow dandelions that capture your gaze.
The peonies and dandelions are large and vibrant. The shades of pink and yellow are intense, almost neon, but they work together in a harmonious way that is pleasing to the eye.
The vase that holds the flowers is a study in contrast. Its gray colour stands in stark contrast to the brightly coloured blooms it holds. The gray is cool and soothing.
As you take in the painting as a whole, you notice the background. It is divided into two distinct parts: turquoise at the top and red at the bottom. Turquoise is a bright and refreshing colour, while red is bold and passionate. Together, they create a dynamic and energetic background that sets off the flowers and vase perfectly.
Overall, this painting is all about colour and contrast. The oversized and simplified flowers, combined with the intricate vase and bold background, create a visually stunning work of art that is sure to captivate anyone who sees it.

I studied design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow though I really wanted to either study painting, or goat and sheep breeding. I obeyed the advice given and followed what was deemed to be the wiser and more conventional path, though this was short-lived as I quickly returned to nature and painting.
My paintings draw from the world of plants and animals. I am inspired by these worlds, I like to transform them, simplify them, change their colors and add meaning to them. I enjoy the huge bouquets bursting from the vases. I am fascinated by the hare’s crazy eyes that are following me in the studio.
I use various media in Canary Yellow Mallow Vases. Often the base is acrylic paints. Based on this, I start using contrasts. Thick and thin lines as well as spots and smooth color transitions argue for their place. My works are full of colors, shapes, lines, spots, thick lines and patterns.
Based on the description, they could be accused of chaos and disharmony, but this is not the case. The compositions are mostly static, hieratic, central, even if they use asymmetry, they maintain balance. Every rebellion has its own framework here – a framework within which it is fulfilled.
